even 3-4 reps will build significant amount of muscle, its just that up to 5 reps per set you build consistent strength, i did alot of 5x5 as example and i never failed progressive overload like this. always upped 2-5kgs.

Personally, I do 6 - 10 reps. Saves me time and a horrendous walk upstairs trying to stabilize my shoulder with my mug in my hand

You only need to get some pressure on yourself because your muscles growing up when you do your 100%

Find a weight that will push you to failure at only 6-8 reps.

But before that take a warm up set to that will get you to 15 reps.
