Adam Savage's One Day Build: Sticky Storage!

preview_player
Показать описание
Today's One Day Build is a workshop infrastructure improvement, creating storage and organizational spaces for the numerous sticks that Adam uses in his every day building. These include things like tongue depressors, skewers, acid brushes, and swabs that are used for everything from mixing epoxy to holding up model kit parts to prime and paint. And like every other shop infrastructure build, it requires some introspection as to how Adam thinks about and uses these tools.

When you said "almost messed up" and then went and messed up anyways, I couldn't help but smile cause I would totally do the same thing. Thank you for leaving it in.

Just a huge shout out for the editor who deals with the nailgun bits - top work.

8:36 "Empathy, Kindness, Respect"

Agreed, the world needs more of that. I love that t-shirt.

Not gonna lie, I didn't look very closely at the thumbnail and I thought for sure this was going to be about glue. Great pun though!

I can't believe that you didn't put the items in the same order in both racks, LOL. I know it would driver me nuts to have them arranged differently.

I love the way Adam has an utility holding organiser on his wall still in the packaging next to his sink

19:54 "Acetone" labeled in sharpie, with a third of it missing. Classic.

The way he does everything perfectly is beautiful. Like that sped up sanding bit was beautiful.

I remember that episode when you said you needed more acid brushes. Gifts of needed items from your audience without provocation, that is a sign where you can stand back and admire what you do and the quality of what you do. Fans are DC motors they can exhaust the fumes or blow them in your face. Adam you are a “Savage”. Please never stop Tested!

The sign of an awesome YT build video. You finish the clip and there are 8+ tabs open in your browser that are showing your browse and purchase history for the past 1/2 hour...

Not a complaint. Merely an observation...

These are just shop vlogs, and that's why we love them so much!

I truly appreciate you showing your errors. I screw up all the time for a variety of reasons. I feel like less of a schmuck knowing other people (who are better this than I am) screw up.. It's really helpful to see how a professional recovers from errors, too.

i dont know why these woodworking builds speak to me so much. I probably wouldnt have started woodworking if it werent for these videos. Love them. Also, apologies, had to cancel my membership for now. I hope to be able to come back soon. To anyone who's on the fence about joining, if you can, do it. It really helps the tested crew and the extra content alone is worth it.

I can't help but wonder if the sad tone in his voice is because he shot this on Grant Imahara's birthday and this is the first birthday since his passing earlier this year. So sad to see him go, but I know he touched the hearts of many and that he will live on through all those he inspired, worked with, and taught. Thanks Adam for the steady flow of content this year. Your videos have created some normality in these otherwise abnormal times.

First off, bless you!
Second, I freaking LOVE how unto Hamilton you are! It makes me so happy to see more people than just me randomly apply those genius lyrics to situations all day long!

Adam, thank you showing the rest of us that even makers of your skill set and experience still have to stop and think about which way the cuts go. And then proceed to do it the other way. There's still hope for me! Really enjoy seeing how you make things to hold things.

I repeated "this is the way" after the exact pause and with the exact cadence that Adam did... I've never felt so in tune with a Youtube video.
