The woman was desperate of the pope's blessing, you can see her reaction as the pope heads toward her. She did not mean to hurt the pope. She is in dire expectation of the pope's touch.
What i want us to understand here is, GET DESPERATE WITH GOD not with man.

The Pope could have lost his balance and fall. He is already old and fragile.The woman should have not done that be respectful.

That woman crossed the line. Francis deserves respect and nobody is supposed to pull and hold a person like that, nor squeeze his hand, which is a security issue. Francis reaction is normal, especially for a person his age.

The woman was really rude to pull him like that. He is still human after all!! He is very brave to admit to his mistakes instead of brushing it off. But then again he should have listened to her before doing anything she could be desperate for help.

Her act and even her reaction after the pope hit her will tell us that she was really hoping to talk to the pope..maybe she has a big prolem and she wants to talk to the pope badly.. I'm wondering if her respect for the pope would still be the same after the incident.
