It's good to learn these (as well as clutchless downshift) no matter your riding style cause it really helps get you in tune with your bikes gearing, plus some day your clutch controls might fail and knowing these techniques could be the difference between riding home or calling a tow.

I have it down to where sometimes I don't even need to think or blip the throttle. I just boop the shifter and it slides right in, no shuttering, no noises, no issues. Makes me feel really cool.

You actually dont even need to pull the clutch to downshift, you blip onto the throttle instead of off the throttle while engine braking. Just remember to come off it right after.

Similar to how old unsynchronized transmissions is shifted by professional drivers, clutch is only for stopping and starting, when upshifting, off the throttle until it slides out of gear and lower revs until it slides into gear, when downshifting off the throttle until it slides out of gear, then raising revs until sliding into gear. Much easier than double-declutching but things break easier if you fail.
