Acrylic Stucco, the best and Why, Stuc-O-Flex Elastomeric Acrylic Finish.
Stucco acrylic or synthetic finishes.
FYI, acrylic is also known as synthetic stucco. Now you know.

In this video, we’re applying an acrylic stucco finish.
Over a cementitious finish for serious rain protection.

I Believe they purchased BMI Acrylic that I applied in this video, I'll spread whatever a homeowner has on hand, But my personal favorite Stuc-O-Flex Elastomeric Acrylic Finish.

Stuc-O-Flex Elastomeric Acrylic Finish provides a protective weathering membrane in a pre-colored, extremely durable, fade and mildew-resistant coating.

My pal Dan Johnson who works with Stuc-O-Flex is the man to call.
Dan’s an expert with all Stuc-O-Flex stuccos and stucco acrylics.
His number is 425 885-5085.

Don’t guess with your biggest investment purchase products that last longer than old kirk.

Hello everyone, take it from a 40-year exterior stucco finishing contractor.
All acrylic stucco coatings are not created equal.
In fact, some stucco acrylics are so pathetic that if they offered them to me for free, I’d have to decline, as if I applied these shitty products, I would be responsible, thereby sued or have to redo the work, where’s the savings in that nonsense.
Some folks would be shocked as one of the biggest names in cementitious stucco finishes is the worst with their acrylic stuccos.
How bad is it? We, as stucco contractors, talk with our fellow stucco contractors and, as a joke, might say, no doubt they used, Blaw, Blaw, Blaw, and this is why they are being sued or having to redo their failed acrylic finish?

We invite you to watch how acrylic stucco is applied. It’s flexible and waterproof stucco homes.
There is a lot of important information shared in this video.
Ensure the plastering contractors follow these guidelines if you consider applying an acrylic stucco to your home.

Hi Kirk. I watch your videos all the time and find them very educational. I have a lanai in my house in Florida. I have an open ceiling and thinking of closing it with gypsum board. I also would like to finish it with an acrylic stucco. I was thinking of priming the boards and applying the stucco right over it without using lath in one or two coats. I also have a soffit that has a vent screen running down the middle and was thinking about finishing with some kind of light stucco finish. Would you guide me in the right direction for this one as well.
Thank you.
Lenny.

Hi Kirk. Here in Phoenix the stucco contractor installed Seneca acrylic stucco over the scratch coat which was over metal lathe. No brown coat installed over the scratch coat. We expected smooth walls as this being a contemporary home but walls came out wavvy especially when sunlight hits. He says he's done. We want no waves. My architect says the contractor should have installed brown coat in order for the wall to have been straighter. The question is can we keep trying to skim the elastomeric product or should be do something else to get this straight? Thank you for looking into this.

Hi Kirk. When do you recommend the use of an acrylic stucco? I had the Davlin product recommended to me today to repair my cracked stucco and wondered why I'd never seen it featured in your videos. So I googled and found this old video.

hey kirk, lovely video as always! Just a quick question I have a distributor that sells acrylic similar to this one and I have been using it as a finish coat for most of my foundation parging jobs, i have a few clients asking if i could use this to color coat and apply on a concrete staircase that is damaged and faded. Figure id ask the best in the business, thanks a again you're videos really help a fellow out :)

Kirk I have to coat a cement cap that was put on top of a stone retaining wall many years ago. The aggregate is really showing through and there are some cracks. Would you recommend a conventional stucco with float finish or acrylic? Thanks LOVE your videos

Hello Kirk, I'm having acrylic applied to my house foundation next week. From what I understand, at the base is the original house foundation cement. On top of this, when the house was built, they applied a secondary cover of cement, also called parging. Now, in the acrylic process, they will REMOVE the secondary cover of cement. Is this correct?
