I've had 3 yellow tops in 20 years and the last one lasted the longest, 14 years and it still producing 14.6 volts. The difference between the first two and the last is a trickle charger used during the winter season. And yes the last one was made it Mexico...

i had one a long time ago when they were good- lasted 8-years- now heres the deal- i was told they are made now in mexico-by johnson controls- and on internet people who have bought them said do not buy them now- they are over priced and wont even last 3 years - and has a very low warranty coverage esp for the price

i dont know this for a fact but its on the internet from people who have bought them / before i wouldnt have bought any thing else -now i wont risk it for the high prices
