Had mine dead for 4 years took It out and trickle charged it and there's no damage to it whatsoever even just tested it on my dealerships GM tester and it came out 825cca and 100% state of health. Can't go wrong with the old yella tops.

Since Johnson Controls took over this company and moved facilities to Mexico the batteries are not as good as what they were years ago. JC changed the acid paste formula and lowered the lead percentage, to save money. Yes, the batteries have a three year warranty, but if you need a replacement from JC, within those three years, the replacement battery is NOT warranted. Did I mention the price has gone up.

I have a yellow top optima from 2017 in my 2014 Chevy Impala limited. It starts the car without a problem. Should I replace it now before the Wisconsin Winter or simply keep it in my car until it dies?

Iv had my yellow top on my 2012 Denali Xl since 2020 and sadly have had 2 replace it 2x alrdy they are totally not built like they use to....my previous battery was a red top that lasted 12 yrs 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

I got 5 years out of my yellow top. No better than a Everstart Platinum Walmart battery, just almost twice the cost. Maybe they used to be good, but not anymore. You're wasting your money.

My experience has been the same of with any cheaper batteries for optima yellow top, so far everstart outlasted it. Everstart lasted for 7 years with no jumpstarting that I have used it from my older car and it was after 7 years I got tired of jump start and got this yellow top which turns out to be bad investment.
