The loose sketch advice is sooo helpful, especially for artists who have/want to have a manga/anime-like art style.
Often times, tutorials with this specific kind of art in mind put a focus on "clean lines" and "clean lineart", but for me, I have realized the opposite is true.
It seems my brain understands proportions and shapes better through blobs of colors rather than defining clean lines.
If anyone's having trouble getting things right through lineart, try this: draw a sketch, lower the opacity, define the picture through colors alone (shading too). Then, if you want, trace the lineart on the layer above, following the shapes you created via colors instead of doing the opposite.

man i loved this video and the part where u said compare ur art to other artists . like we shouldn't hate our art but also we shouldn't just sit and do the same mistakes over and over again without learning from something or someone .
