=LEFT(A2, 9)

NOTE : 9 is number of letters you want to seperate.

Which formula can i use to separate the text from numbers - if in the cell the numbers are first and the text after - i.e. 150001 - Robinson ; OR another example which i dont know if it affects the formula to give a clear result i.e. 150001 - Robinson - Cup

What if you have different data in each cell? Eg: some with 6 text, 3 numbers etc....

Since your data is uniform in length, wouldn't it have been simpler to use 'Text to Columns - Fixed Width'?
