In regards to the alternative leveling method suggested with Crystalline Conflict, Scerttle did some research for me! Apparently, WITH the "Road to 80" buff doubling the experience gain, we are talking about 6% of a level per fight. This means without any exp bonuses that apply, it would be just 3%, meaning around 34 Crystalline Conflict matches for a single level. Clearly, this suggests using Crystalline Conflict for leveling a job is only even remotely worthwhile if you planned to both play Crystalline Conflict anyway, but also that you intended to play that specific job in Crystalline Conflict anyway! Unfortunate discovery, but better to know than not!

One comment I would like to have seen with the hunts is the use of your companion (Chocobo). It can act as a healer and helps out the MDPS jobs immensly while running the hunts. Also nice for those running the Challenge Log Bussom Buddies to lvl their Chocobo.

-For hunts you can open the recommended tab and set it to hunts, and it will show what targets you have left in that zone.
-Side Quests in ShB and EW are synced quests and not linked to the job that accepted it. So you can do these side quests on any job and turn them in on a job you want to level. They only grant about 2-3% of a level per(XP gain scales down the higher level you are) so not efficient, but can be an option doing them alongside MSQ if you are a completionist/like doing side quests.
-Road to 80 effects multipliers. So using XP boosts are even more impactful when you have the buff.
-Since dungeons unlock at odd levels, it can be beneficial to save roulettes/dailies/weekly turn-ins for even levels as dungeon XP scales better when at level. More of a min-max type thing so not really important.

You consistently put out the best FF XIV guides. This one is perfectly timed as I’m leveling a bunch of jobs from 50-80!

Your videos are so well explained, organized, and outlined. My brain appreciates the way you explain and parse information. Thank you!

Something I recommend is getting Anima and Bozja relics while doing all this. Most of them require running normal content (being Resistance weapons more involved with Bozja/Zadnor and more suitable for 71-90). Leveling may get repetitive but if you get cool weapons meanwhile it can be more rewarding than usual.

Great guide! I hadn't actually paid much attention to the level 50/60/70/80 roulette boss XP and how they cap out! The Tribe quests (and how their XP scales) are also something I've glossed over in my leveling, will definitely go for those now.

This is some good information. Especially the part about the beast tribes. Some of that stuff I didn't know.
Also, the part about skipping roulettes is very true. Doing something you don't enjoy doing is not only going to affect your will to play, but also may affect your ability to play, since any frustrations will be amplified.

Also, talking about the egg thing reminded me of the large quantity of oranges in my inventory. RNG was not kind to me when I was trying to obtain orange seeds to record in my gathering log, which resulted in me obtaining an inordinately large amount of oranges. I refuse to let them go to waste.

Great guide, thank you! I'm trying to level all jobs (except Blue Mage) to 90. Everything is 30+ now, and needed some thoughts on grinding 30 - 50. This helps a lot, especially knowing what I need to do for the DPS jobs.

Still haven't tried PotD, so I need to give that a shot soon.

That's my favorite guide in leveling ever. I'm an extremely recent player and I still didn't even finish MSQ on my main because I don't want to rush it (Summoner, currently on 1/3 of Stormblood), but I wanted the Unicorn mount and decided to level up Conjurer to 30 doing FATEs after my Hunting Log ran out, oh god, that was awful (but still better than levequests and side quests).

It took me a while to figure out that I could benefit from roulette in my alts even after getting the Leveling bonus daily on my main, because everything I found online only suggested POTD and I didn't want to tackle that yet. Looking forward to using this strategy on my next alt jobs (Astrologian, Red Mage and Samurai).

What I normally do is daily roulettes and then do level appropriate dungeons. By the time I can do Shb content, I start weaving in fates as well either between dungeons or instead of dungeons. I brought Gunbreaker from about 67 to 90 with much of it being in fates in Shb and Endwalker. Endwalker fates alone can easily level you fast. I did like 2 levels or so just in Thavnair fates when my GNB was lvl 83 when starting and it didn’t take all that long, along with me working on gemstones anyways to pick up items for the FC house that only I am able to get (I have rank 3 with all fates)
As of today I’ve been playing FFXIV for 7 months, and I didn’t start leveling any other jobs until I was almost completely done with MSQ, now I have 4 lvl 90 jobs (BLM, RPR, SGE, GNB) and a lvl 70 BLU and currently working on DNC which is 65 (only just started it properly a couple of days ago and haven’t been intensive leveling it). Leveling can be fast and fun if you just put the effort in and have the time

I started playing the game since the end of summer time. It was helpful to learn about these tips whenever i decide to learn a new job. The organization out of this video was amazing.

Very nice video! I need to add the following points:
Queue times for Alliance raids as dps is not that bad, because they require 5 players for every 8 players, while Trials and Raids require 4 players for every 8 players.
In addition average queue time for daily roulettes as dps should be around 10-15 minutes, which is ok.
MSQ roulettes might be the best ones. Praetorium, especially, is a long roulette (it takes almost 30min to complete) but but it gives up around 75% of a level as experience!
FInally, when a player wants to reduce the queue time for specific dungeons, he can select not one, but two dungeons closest to his level. For example, if someone is 76 lvl, he can select a 73lvl and a 75lvl dungeons simultaneously, if he is is 87 lvl, he can select a 85lvl and a 87lvl dungeons, etc...!!
Thank you for this guide, it's very nice!!!

Meanwhile I purposely don't level up most of my jobs just so I would still have things to do later on.

As someone who recently transferred from Sargatanas to Tonberry, (I still prefer my Sargatanas) the server activity does affect where you need to grind as well. For example, In Sargatanas, there aren't issues in grinding for an alt to hit 1 to 70. Dungeons and Duties are enough even if you are DPS. Sure it may take an extra 3-6mins of wait time for DPS players but its way better compared to how it is with Tonberry. In Tonberry server, people BARELY do the duties there. I skipped the MSQ to Endwalker as I didn't want to redo the story all over again (since i've done it in Sargatanas). The said action i took showed me how bad it is for new players/starting fresh players in that server. Sure, some would say "bring your friend with you or your FC-mates with you" but that still doesn't excuse the lack of users running the dungeons/duties. Fates are not ran often as often there compared to Sargatanas. It really ruins the game for me as it reminds me of the 2013-2015-ish times of FFXIV wherein leveling was a pain and troublesome activity. I'll be focusing on doing Palace of the Dead and Heaven on High but its not fun when your options are limited because server activity is not there for new or world crossing players who decided to start new/fresh.

I'd argue that Guildhest roulette is worth doing thrice a week if you have a little time after doing Levelling, Trials, Alliance and Normal Raids. While the EXP is completely insignificant they take essentially no time (Bockman, the most common guildhest, takes less than a minute), and there's two Challenge Log entries that give fairly good EXP for three and ten Guildhests completed. Ten is usually not worth grinding for, but three is very, very easy to get to and gives EXP comparable to a dungeon boss kill. My strategy is to queue for the first two days of guildhests with whatever role is adventurer in need, just to get through the queue quicker and get a tiny bit extra EXP, and then queue for the third day on whatever job I'm actually focusing on leveling to get the challenge log EXP.

Good sir, have you ever considered a career in narrating audiobooks?? Your voice is by far the most pleasant I've heard in a while. 😌

Thanks for the vid mate, very helpful. 👍
