The Billhook was very popular in England. Medieval Englishboos are familiar about the weapon, but overlooks how it was popular in Italy as the Roncone. AFAIK, English Billhook blades tend to be wider than the more slender Roncone blades

The English notably still stick to Longbow-and-Bill when the continental Europeans started to shift to Pike-and-Shot

If we want to talk about less known user of the Billhook, Matrakci Nasuh painted some Ottoman Yeniceri wielding Billhooks in his illustrations in the Suleymanname depicting the 1522 Siege of Rhodes
