I've seen at least 3 of your videos of seychelles. I don't understand why everyone is commenting negatively. Seychelles is expensive..very and even more so for tourists, that's not a secret. But this is how we thrive as a nation. I'm happy you came. Make use of a professional local guide if you visit again. The experience will be a whole lot different. Please be careful if you're coming here, as a local I'd say Seychelles has become a little dangerous for guests recently due to cases of theft especially, although there's still the majority of the country who will welcome you with smiles and warmth don't go places alone I'd recommend having another trusted local with you

Its not a suprise. Seychelles are exclusive destination. People have normal salaries.
Greece and Croatia are expensive as well now cause people want normal salaries and they don't want to be slaves.

The British never brought slave to the Seychelles. The French was the first to colonise Seychellles and brought slaves from Africa, Madagascar, India.
La Digue is the 4th largest island of the Seychelles. Alcohol is expensive because of high alcohol consumption in the Seychelles. There's a high rate tax to curb the consumption. Seychelles is the richest country per Capita in Africa 🤪

Hubby and I just came back from the Virgin Islands and yeah, everything there was pretty expensive too. Guess it's just a combination of the tourism industry + cost of importing goods to remote locations

You could have use public transport. And it take 1 hour to go to Praslin and you wait few minutes for the stop and then continue and go to la digue. So it about 1 hour and 45 minutes by boat. 30 minutes from Mahe to Praslin and 15 minutes from Praslin to la digue by plane
