This is irrelevant to the video but I wanted to say a big thank you! I did your technique with aquaphor and gloves to moisturise my hands. Finally something actually worked to make the skin super soft and not only that - I had a negative reaction on my hand due to expired liquid lipsticks and it hasn’t disappeared with anything I tried a lot of things but this removed all of it just after one use, no scaring no dryness. Hi Dr. Dray, I have a question. I have been using Tretinoin since August 2022 and gradually increased over time until i was able to use it every night. its been 3 months now i use it every night. Noticed about 1 month ago some darkening of the skin on my nose and now I've noticed 2 age spots and a mole that has darkened quite a bit. I've also noticed new light brown age spots possibly on my cheeks that weren't there prior to Tretinoin. Is it normal for my skin to change in this manner? Or does this mean that I shouldn't be using Tretinoin? I'm not sure if this is a sign that it's not working for my skin. My skin is very sensitive now.

Do we do the contact therapy every night? If not, how often? Thank you for the idea ! I want to start it again and have always had trouble sticking with it . Even if I cut it with moisturizer and use once a week ( cuz I forget since it isn’t a nightly routine).

Just an FYI, Cipher makes their retinal balm called “88 mph”( yes, that’s the name) which is made specifically for use with short contact therapy. You could do that with any retinoid technically, but their formulation is actually pretty interesting, & for me, It was stepping stone until I upgraded to Altreno. Enjoy!

I haven’t had any discomfort using Tretinoin. I followed your advice on how to use it. Granted I just started about a month ago and am only on .25 but I almost feel like I’m doing something wrong because I haven’t had any issues. Can you recommend when I should start on .5?

Hello Dr. Dray, could you let us know if it's ok to buffer tretinoin microsphere/retin-a micro with moisturizer before applying? I'm seeing some claims that it's ok to buffer normal tret, but that you should not apply anything underneath tret micro because it interferes with the efficacy of the microsponges and their specific time released formula.

I never got told that by my dermatologist and I ended up stopping using it because my face was covered in spots from actually using it. If I’d known this, I would’ve persevered. I may revisit it because I really see good results for other people.
