Personally, I don't think jeans should be worn to a wedding. Those would be way too casual.

In the 1988 movie “Working Girl” Melanie Griffith and Harrison Ford crash a wedding and she is wearing a white suit - admittedly not a dress but still white. Wonder if it was deliberate to show that, while a risk taker (the theme of the whole movie) her judgment and sense of appropriate behavior was somewhat flawed.

Sometimes the flower girl's are in white. I agree with most of these but thought it was picky on the jewelru..you dress up to honour the bride and groom which can include nice accessories (jewelry)..just not too guady.
but it shouldn't be too fussy anyway.
