How to fix your laptop camera/webcam

Multiple Fixes to troubleshoot your webcam on Windows 10 laptop. The steps are listed below:
1. Cleaning your webcam. Make sure nothing is blocking the camera.
2. Press the F8 button to unblock the camera
3. Allow your laptop and apps access to the camera
4. Enable your camera to function in the Device Manager
5. Scan for the latest drivers and camera software in Device Manager

OMG! I have spent HOURS trying to figure out my camera's problem, uninstalling and reinstalling this that and the other to no avail. And you solved my problem in Step No 1! I have had this laptop for over 2 years and did not know about the slider. You can't really see it, so I had no idea it was there. The camera had always worked ... until one day when it didn't. So I've been using my phone for video calls until I got this problem solved. Just slid that tiny little tab over and voila, problem solved! Perfect! Thank you so very much!
