Lenovo laptop camera not working - Fixed

Lenovo laptop integrated WebCam camera not working I was able to fix it by updating Windows 10 and updating WebCam driver

02:33 Thank you Amer! I was experiencing the same camera fail as you. That is when I tried to run (for example) Zoom, the camera in the app showed and icon of a camera with a line drawn through it (just like you showed). I followed your instructions. At 02:33 you took me to the Lenovo app and the "Device/Display and Camera" menu item.

When I scrolled down, I saw that "Camera Privacy Mode" was turned on. Apparently I had enabled that (turned off the camera) at some time in the past, just to keep anyone from "accidentally spying on me with my own camera). ... So I turned off that Privacy Mode (turning on the camera) and the camera then worked fine.

Thank you! Both my camera and microphone suddenly stopped working and I couldn't figure out why. Turns out Lenovo Vantage didn't have permission to use my microphone or camera and I just needed to enable that. Thank you for the quick and easy tutorial

at 3:06 my camera started working even though I had already switched the privacy settings off through in the camera settings ( without using Lenovo Vantage ) thank you sir

Thank you! I thought I was going to have to buy a new laptop. I'm on virtual video conferences all day long and can't be without my camera. I downloaded updates and drivers and no luck. Turns out, the privacy setting must have gotten turned on during a recent update or something. Turned it off, and now it works just fine. Really appreciate you sharing the steps you went through to get it working!!!

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! I’ve watched other videos and was told not to select the “delete the driver software from your device” box before selecting “uninstall.” I’m so glad that it worked. I’ve been trying to get my camera to work for over two hours! Thank you!!!! Namaste 🙏🏾
