I prefer the theory that apple hired someone to make one thing annoying on each product

Ah yes every single mac related issue that came to our company was basically "I never turn off the computer and never clean up anything so my mac is broke"

I bet the Apple car will have the start / ignition button in the trunk

Just like how "We had to remove the headphone jack because our phones didnt have space inside" its just Apple being kinda bad at designing things like how hard is it to reroute a single button on a ribbon cable

Users: “why did you put the power button on the bottom of the Mac Mini?”
Apple:”why would you want to turn it off?”

As a Mac user for 20+ years I've used the power button hundreds, if not thousands of times. I always turn my MacBook Pro off anything I either won't be using it for a while or I'm taking it with me somewhere.

Real PC users turn their power on and off from the back of their power supply.

I use hundreds of Mac Minis for work doing various small tasks. I can tell you with 100% certainty that accessing the power button is very important to doing any maintenance. Those CEOs are just fishing for an excuse.

Pressing the power button is the most satisfying thing of a new pc

Apple: Does it matter? People will buy anything as long as it has our logo on it.

Ok, honestly the moment I didn't like mac stems from a time I had to scan a document and email to myself. It was Saturday at my dads printing business and I was in the art dept. Nobody around. It was 1996. I couldn't turn on the mac, cause it had NO POWER BUTTON AT ALL. I looked all over, nothing! Unplugged it, plugged it in.. After 30 min I gave up and asked my dad. He couldn't figure it out either, he usually uses normal computers too. Eventually I started mashing keys on the keyboard and found the triangle button on the top right of the keyboard. It came to life! Who knew a heck'n TRIANGLE meant POWER, ON A KEYBOARD. I knew from that point forward, Apple isn't for me.

What do they mean "they don't remember when they last used the power button"? Do all macs at HQ just have 100% uptime? That sounds wildly inefficient

As a user of Unix-like systems such as Linux and mac os, I typically have uptimes measured in months. I reboot a machine to upgrade a kernel rather than power down and restart.

Wait. Do people not turn their non-server computers off when they're not using it? Just leave it in sleep mode like an animal?

Can't believe the old "you're using it wrong" excuse from the iPhone 4 is making a comeback
