The only difference I would say is that the drop that you can get on full manual. But with motion controller you can make fancy shot too combining it with the head tracking.

Hey KL appreciate the comparison. The Avata is my first drone; wanted the experience of fpv with cinematic results also. Have yet to try my stick controller very much but still having fun with the motion. If you would let me know what you think of my first 2 videos on my channel. These were my first flights and editing. Still a newbe i am.

Nice Review! I fly both the Motion controller and the RC Controller and it all comes down to personal preference. If I want to get the best Cinematic video of natural landscapes I choose the Motion Controller because it is more precise, the turns are perfectly coordinated, smoother and I can get closer to the ground and shoot gaps with more confidence. It is more relaxed and enjoyable but of course not as challenging. If I want to do aerobatics and Mountain dives then I switch to the RC Controller. I usually bring both controllers and switch between them. Both are great! I posted a video last week showing both controllers.

Simple question not related to this video. Did you try to connect a mic to the Goggles and then you can talk while flying and the sound is recorded with the goggles video?

Can you tell which luts you are using and how to get them?

I guess ill keep trying the FPV Remote, used it for the first time yesterday and found it very difficult to fly Vs the Motion Controler. I eventually want to get to full manual mode!

Awesome Video! I saw so many complaining about the avata that it crashes and stuff like this. But I got it and I learned manual too. I just love it, it is so small and easy to setup. I dont have the time to build my own drones, and I prefer the avata over any other drone. It gives 15 minutes flight time and is just a good option for me. If you want to do tricks with it, you should use another drone.

Did you have an ND filter on in this? If so, what strength?

So you can't dive with the motion controller?

GOOD VIDEO. ONE QUESTION... TO TAKE SHOTS AROUND A TARGET AS YOU DID WITH THE DEER OR ANTENNA, IS IT ENOUGH WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL OR DID YOU ALSO USE HEAD TRACKING? WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL YOU CAN FLY BACKWARDS OR JUST UP OR DOWN?

Im a Mini 4 pro owner, and I want to get into the Avata within the next 6 months to a year. But I don't want the added gimmick of the motion controller. For under $1300 you can just seperately buy the Avata, Goggles 2 and FPV controller.

I really don't want to invest in an explorer package for a motion controller that I'm likely to outgrow and stop using. Buying all 3 separately and skipping the motion stick seems like a viable option. Or am I missing something?

My Controller 2 arrives tomorrow, so I will be on the Sim tomorrow, I have only used the MC so far but I'm used to sticks having flown RC planes for years forward to learning some acro

Great video, very informative. Awesome footage, AK has very nice scenery. I have the Motion Controller, but considering the FPV controller. Your comparison video helps with my decision. I'm leaning more towards the FPV controller. Only question is, can the FPV controller work with the Mavic 3 and Mini Pro 3 like the Motion Controller 2 will?

I like both controller kris I also like the motion controller 2 you can maneuver a lot better now with the motion controller 2 so now I have three controllers but the Avata is a fun drone I love it I also have the Mavic three I also love the fly that very much and I also have the mini three pro They are all fun to fly. Thanks for sharing Chris like always great video.💯👍 and I also love that nature at the end I think that was an elk love it question do you see any whales out there man if you do try to film them OK later and God bless

I have MC but want to go for RC. I dont need no manual mode, no need tricks just orbit and dives, which are not feasible with MC. Question is : can I fly with RC safely in normal mode with GPS and stab assist? I mean, can I do it the same way as with MC, can I fly low over the ground and stuff?

Ok, sold. Getting the remote controller. I also feel very limited with the motion one that is included.
