It's my head canon that Barbara and Adam's loophole was fulfilling their unfinished business.
They always wanted a family (or child) and found that in Lydia.

Couldn’t have been made without Keaton….so glad he has found his groove and is reprising roles.

Delores design actually looks like Sally from the nightmare before Christmas. They even have similar cut lines on their faces. They even put themselves together with sewing or stapling

Seriously, there's no lie that Michael Keaton is still 100% PERFECT to play BeetleJuice

I love when Beetlejuice is dancing with Lydia, it shows a glimpse of the dog that killed the Maitlands as one of his past loves.

The stapling sequence of the soul sucker is very reminiscent of the Nightmare Before Christmas

Catharine O’Hera is genuinely so funny. I laughed for 5 minutes (I’m not lying) at the “attacked by a moose” line. I DIED in that theater.

With the kind of opening weekend it had

has to be something the studio wants. Preferably not 36 years from now.

The best Easter egg is that they keep referring to Charles as a "bird watcher, " a term they use in jail for pedophiles LMAO!

The OG Beetle Juice wasn't 1998 - it was 1988 "_"

I just saw this movie yesterday and the best part is the fact that it was able to push the boundaries of the rating of PG-13

This film was stupid fun. And of the main 3(Michael, Winona, and Catherine) haven't lost a step

When Beetlejuice put stitches in Lydia's lips, I thought of Billy Butcherson from Hocus Pocus!

I just got home from watching and I actually laughed out loud at the stop-motion reenactment of how Charles died😂 it was perfect

Danny DeVito's cameo includes Easter eggs to both Burton Batman films. The green fluid seeping from his mouth and grunts while walking are evocative of DeVito's Penguin performance in Batman Returns (albeit in a different prosthetic makeup). And what is Lieutenant Eckhart's first line in Batman '89? "Ahhhh, drinking Draino!"

I just want to hug Bob. I would do anything to see Bob smile just once.

How could you not acknowledge Danny DeVito as the janitor? That was literally one of my favorite scenes.

He's not throwing shade at Disney, it's just a running joke in general that Disney fairy tales often have dead parents and especially mothers. Burton was a Disney animator and Touchstone pictures released Nightmare Before Christmas. He has a long history with them, even if at odds with them sometimes.
