Gay tourist visiting the Berlin nightlife scene? Techno music junkie looking for a DJ set to scratch your clubbing itch? Shy German trying to break out of your shell and immerse yourself in dance party culture? Look no further!

In this video I once again put on my favorite sweater and break down some of the fundamental principles of "getting in" to the exclusive, mysterious, tragically hip nightclub -- BERGHAIN. If you are looking to get your dancing pants on, and the only thing holding you back is Sven and his door selection process, allow me to throw you some helpful tips for intrepid cultural nomads.

And while I teach you how to fit in with the in crowd, I also try to throw in some life-affirming wisdom. We should celebrate who we truly are!

Music: Augustin Raffo -- "Pulse"

"Everything in life is neutral and everything else is a story we make up about it". Love it!

My thing was that I got inline with torn jeans, a skull gym tank and Alpha boots which is kindof a regular outfit when I go to festivals and clubs. I didn´t count on getting in. The idea was if I get in I get in, otherwise there is atleast another club or somewhere to get a cold beer in Berlin. I went there with my ex and she was ULTRA nervous. It was really nice inside. Loved being there, danced a bit, had some drinks, met some people and enjoyed the club. I was there with my ex who still is a great friend of mine. One thing now is well... I go to some clubs, and it happens that I plan my outfit months before a club or a concert, just because I love it.

I never tried, just being myself and not really caring whether or not I'll get in and i always did. And i never wore any of those funny clothes that people think will get them in. I guess i was naturally cool 😂

I love techo, a great party, freedom of expression in all its forms. But if I need 15 tips on how to get into the party, I don't care how amazing it's meant to be in there, I'll go somewhere else

Thanks for the cool insight. I might go to Berghain to party or just to check out a concert or performance.

In England the health goth thing is called Neo chav 😂 pretty cool tbh. They’ve got the same thing in Eastern Europe too

I really liked the part about investigating your motives for going there. Also, what is the song playing in the background?

Always wanted to go to Berghain! As a huge fan of Techno it's honestly my dream goal. Berghain is a nexus for all kinds of people from the fetish lovers, leather daddies, sports twinks, the deaf community, psychedelic philosophers to just ordinary people who just love Techno and having an amazing time. There are so many wonderful people inside and so many various people, it really seems like my kinda place!

I wear mostly black with bright highlight colours like neon green to when I'm going to clubs of any genre anyway because I love the aesthetic even outside of Techno, but I also have an eclectic wardrobe full of denim and typical gay twink clothes lol. From what I gather it's all about the vibe you give off, that you love Techno and respect the culture. I've been to a lot of clubs and Techno nights and listen to the music it all the time of all sub-genres from Dub-Techno to Techno Trance to Hard Techno It's one of the only genres of music that also listens to me as I'm listening to it! I've grown up around electronic music and Techno and my love for the genre really is important for me.

I hate how so many "influencers" and tourists are poisoning the place because they try to get in because its notoriously hard, despite the fact that they hate the music, they hate the culture and they only want likes, views and clout on their Insta or Tiktok. Berghain is for the true Techno fans and those who live and breathe the atmosphere and vibe of the genre, culture and it's influences.

That being said, thank you for the advice, Linus! I love your videos, keep up the amazing work! Would love to see more of your adventures in the Hain! x

the thing about the guy getting thrown for trying twice, i don't think so. he must have done something stupid. people definitely try twice, especially when the bouncers change

It's impossible to get back into Berghain. I have the impression that it relies more on the vibe. I say this because I got turned away after waiting more 5 hours

Thx for sharing, guy. Enjoyed it. One question must be allowed: A stamp, when have u been there the last time? They changed the stamp policy back in 2019 to binding ribbons around the wrist. These are used for re-entry now, 5 Euro fee upon coming back for the first time. After that, you can come back as many times you like. Enjoy!

When I hear all the tips like this and see that I know-it-all head of ex club Kid, it's laughable and why you should do all that nonsens just to get in to a club and please a stupid doorman?
Completely unimportant whether you enter the Berghain or not, can't be a serious issue.

To be honest only time i would prefer to go in there, when there is no party at all just to look at the place. Like how many floors and rooms and architecture you know. Not a fan of noisy parties and drinking these days.

Thank you again. So you are in New York City now? Maybe you could do a few videos about your endeavours over there too? Thx!
