It is better to live like Jesus than to only believe in Him.
Can we not recognize the final ultimate basis of Religion is to Love ye one another??? Now all the theology in the world can not destroy that or create a peaceful existence without it. The real contribution of Religion is Love, fellowship, service, mutual consideration and compassion for all that lives. It is the purpose of religion to bring people together but by various contrivances. We have so integrated or organized our faiths that they live in constant antagonism with each other. On what grounds are these antagonisms? Well primary on the assumption which is held through out the world that each individual, community and or each communion of religion, each one is the only True One. This becomes a loyalty not to truth but a loyalty to an institution. Even if we understand this institution historically we must admit there are areas of it which are not worthy of loyalty but we go right on convinced and concerned only with the victory of our own belief over everyone else's. This is not Love. Love sufferth long and is kind, Love forgives, Love strives every way possible to make things happier and better for even the stranger outside the gate but we have not recognized the primary purpose of religion. Love is Religion and hate is atheism, Hate is a danger to all that lives, it arouses selfishness and competitiveness in the human personality for the destruction of man kind.
The only answer is to recognize that religion has one basic fact..."Love ye one another" . Now you don't have to hang a name on that. It has been known everywhere. Agathon taught it in Egypt 1200 years before the birth of Christ. It is in every code that man has ever had namely that each one shall not think of his own good alone but of the good of all.

Mike Licona I have a question. I am not here to troll or harass you in any way shape or form. I’m just questioning whether Jesus’ resurrection actually proves theism. I respect you and your time and I think you are a very intelligent person. So onto the actual topic. Suppose I were to grant Jesus’ resurrection. I understand that Jesus said things which would imply he thought that he was god and so did his disciples. I’m not convinced that the resurrection actually proves theism. If you really want to stretch it, you might be able to prove the supernatural. I’m not convinced that proves Yahweh or the god of classical theism. For all we know, intelligent extraterrestrials could’ve used highly advanced technology to either resurrect or clone Jesus. I know you’re probably skeptical that intelligent life forms could ever get to this solar system. I know some methods which could get us to the nearest solar system within a few centuries or less. We could use nuclear fusion which could get us to alpha Centauri in about a century. Solar sails could get us there in a few centuries. Antimatter, while extremely hard to produce and attain, could get us there at the lowest estimate of nine years. And these are all the methods which we know can work but the technology or funding is extremely limited to use such methods. The more theoretical stuff comes in like tachyons and wormholes which could get allow intelligent life forms to travel interstellar space and get them to destinations faster than light. So, I would say that it is possible and maybe even realistic to say that extraterrestrials could get here. Of course, I cannot speak for you or any other person. Suppose it wasn’t extraterrestrials. Maybe Jesus hires an actor and he told the actor to put cosmetics on themselves so that it would appear like he had the injuries which Jesus had while being crucified. I could come up with more possibilities but that would take too much of your time which I respect. You are probably a very busy person. I just don’t see how a resurrection actually proves theism. Of course, I’m highly uneducated and am willing to learn more. I hope you consider my criticisms. Again, I’m not here to troll or take up too much of your time. I would just like a civilized discussion.

Mike Licona with all due respect you to proof his death before you talk about resurrection. I gave you evidence that 16 different Christian denomination reject the crucifixion of Christ and some of them were close to the time of Christ . Some of these teams are close to Christ As some date back to the first century AD.
Please give us verse from the bible saying an eye witness saw Jesus going out of the doom out of his grave ?
