I'm having this same issue with firmware version 46. I can select 120hz in the Quest2 settings menu but in SteamVR it's locked to 72hz. Is it possible (and safe) to downgrade to v40? I only use it with my PC so I don't care if the apps on the Quest stop working. Edit: Nevermind, I didn't know that I had to enable higher resolution in the Oculus PC software too. 120hz works now.

I got it to work! Had to use older computer with i7-8700K running Windows 10. My new computer is i9-11900KF running Windows 11

Thank you so much! I expected a virus or something sketchy but now I can enjoy 90 FPS again
I set it to 120, but it still only outputs 90. Still, better than 72

PLEASE help!! I recently got this issue when i tried to swithc to 90 hz for the first time. I clicked it, headset reset. I than went to go check that it was now set to 90 and all of a sudden my ONLY option was 72 hz. So recently i got v40 hoping that would fix it and it did not.

Sadly still have 72hz. Is adb sideload suppose to go to 37% and then black screen?
And also I have no idea how to see which firmware I'm at. There's bunch of numbers and none of them look like v40.

WTF is this "72hz bug"? Might you do a video explaining just what it is? I never heard of it until you spammed Reddit about it.
