The rocks score the side rock faces of Alpine glacier valleys, with horizon scrape marks. Hanging valleys release water that cascade down not having yet enough time to create side valleys. The-immense scale of the ice age cover is evidenced here. I stare out at this Deep time history every time I travel by train to ski in the French Alpes. Awesome sight !
