Odesa honours fallen volunteer fighters 12 months into Russia-Ukraine war

Odesa on Saturday (February 25) honoured volunteer soldiers killed in Ukraine's long-year war with Russia by lighting up candles and displaying pictures and biographies of service members.

The 126th Territorial Defense Brigade, one of two such brigades from the south Ukrainian port city, was founded at the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and invited to volunteers to join.

Putin maybe a respected person, but he makes a serious wrong step by sending invasion to Ukraine. Invasion is very different than liberation, and there are no justices in those invaders. Zelenskyy strategy is reduced to rounding up civilians often at gunpoint and throwing them into a meat grinder. These "volunteers" are kicking and screaming when dragged to their certain deaths. It's obvious that these hapless and desperate people can even turn their guns against Zelenskyy instead of dying for him. Ukraine already lost most trained and motivated soldiers along with almost all hardware it had before the war plus hundreds of tanks and IFVs it got from Eastern Europe (to understand the scale of losses it had 1 990 tanks, 1 212 IFVs, 1 112 heavy artillery systems, 354 multiple rocket launchers) . Its army is a shadow of its former self at the beginning of the war. Anyway you can't rely on these people to hold the front that is in a very precarious state almost everywhere.
