Voznessensk is located 80 kilometres north of Mykolaiv, the main battlefront in the Odesa region, where Russian forces entered on March 1. FRANCE 24's Gwendoline Debono reports.

Mikolaiv has done a great job of repulsing these "breakthrough" groups. 31 of 90 Russian batallions have been destroyed. Russians can control roads for a lunch break if that, but they are constantly under attack and have no rest. May they have no peace for what they have done and are doing. Glory to the people of Mikolaiv and Voznesensk. Glory to Ukraine.
