Clicked on this video so fast! Will be 53 in a few days. You weren’t kidding when you said it seems like skin changes over night (and hair). I honestly feel like I woke up one morning and barely recognized myself. I am definitely going to incorporate your suggestions into my routine. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. I can’t speak for all physicians, but my dermatologist and gynecologist don’t seem to take cosmetic aging concerns very seriously. Thanks again!!

HRT saved me!
I recommend anyone going thru menopause to find a HRT specialist that can walk you thru and educate you and put you on the correct HRT .

This video was great! I went through menopause very early (43) and now at 49 1/2 I have noticed a dramatic change in my neck almost over night! I’d love to see a video on how to specifically combat saggy neck skin.

I was given psych meds for my symptoms because of the WHI study and a doctor with breast cancer who refused to prescribe HRT. I went thru menopause at 58, am 67 now, and only found a doc to prescribe HRT a year ago. It's made such a difference. I'm on the Combipatch and also starting estrogen cream this week. Started tretinoin 2 months ago. All this thru the VA while my regular Medicare insurance refused because of my age.

Your office is not actually that far from my home, about one hour, and I hate driving in highways, but you seem so honest and trustworthy ❤

HRT changed my life. After years of coping with debilitating symptoms and declining health I got myself back. Skin wise I’m now introducing topical estrogen in my nighttime routine. I already do all the other things and I look ten years younger than my actual age … at least that’s what people tell me 😂 but the important part is that I feel healthier, happier and with more energy than I have felt in years ❤

I felt blessed when starting HRT actually reversed some of the aging in my face. I've used Retin-A for almost 30 years now and I apply some of my estridiol cream to my under eye area nightly. Use red light therapy. Microneedle at medical depths every 6 weeks, lift heavy weights, take collagen supplements and other vitamins, I take vitamin D3 and mk7 to prevent any more bone loss and use my trusty microcurrent when I need an extra boost. There are ways to combat the signs of menopause you are right. Great video as per usual.

So glad you made this so recently - a friend’s sister (in her early 40s) was just diagnosed with breast cancer and is going to be forced into menopause so I offered to look into skincare options since that’s my favorite. This is a great start for options.

Thank you for doing this video. It validates all that I have been
doing as a woman in menopause. There needs to be more videos like this, done by MDs. Chef's, 💋.

I'm doing them all 🤣 Tretinoin since I was in my early 30s, Omnilux and topical estrogen cream. I also take supplements (collagen included), eat plant-based and lift weights. I'm 53 yo and I hope I'll never look 40 LOL Thank you, dr Ellis, for another great video!

Thank you for bringing that up!
I'm in perimenopause (45 y) and I was on the pill until 40. I got off the pill and started to get unbearable perimenopausal problems like sleep disturbances, fatigue, heavy periods, reduced stress resilience etc.. I also noticed that my skin got a little less elastic, started to look a bit older pretty fast. However, I still look very young.
Now, because all of my symptoms, I'm back on the pill and I hope it will also help my skin.

Perimenopausal woman here, and YES to Korean sunscreen! It’s so much more comfortable to wear than American sunscreen. But my very favorite sunscreen of all time is Japanese—Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Milk. It’s a combo sunscreen.

Dr Ellis, another great video! I recently went into menopause and noticed a big drop in my skin. I have been religious about sunscreen and skin care for about a decade so not a drop in texture or wrinkles but definitely firmness. I added only 3 gram portion of creatine into my morning beverage. I think it helped! Btw your urea moisturizer is amazing! I think it evened out some age related discoloration on my legs!

I truly appreciate you videos. I recently turned 65, and I have always been an "outdoors person". I wish I had been more pro-active about addressing my skin changes during my peri-menopause years, but I didn't know what to do and was embarrassed to ask. Those skin changes (all over my body) have been challenging. My GYN has been helpful, but I am not a good candidate for HRT. I am partnering with a wonderful Dermatologist group for annual skin checks for cancerous spots and will have a first laser facial scheduled soon. I am not looking for perfection... just to feel better about myself without a lot of expense or invasive procedures.

I read about changes in 40s and you showed body changes in the graph. At 50, looking at my grandmother and mother I'm years away from menopause. I have so many changes to my skin that there are too many to combat on a daily basis to look and feel my best. This was not the case a year ago. Ive even had 10 lb weight gain and still have crepey skin, gowels, and discoloration and howels under eyes. Your makeup is stunning by the way. I find any amount of makeup emphasizes the areas I'm trying to camouflage.

I started HRT at 49 and I wish I had the information I’ve learned in the last year long ago! I feel safe and confident in my decision adding this into my overall health routine. ❤❤❤

Thanks! ❤ most experts say 1g protein per pound ideal body weight - more like 100-120+ a day. Stacy Sims, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon. That old study WHI was on 63 years olds! and misreported and sadly flawed x

I use Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore and it is so good. I’ve tried so many others that just don’t work for me and the most recent one I bought is The Naturium Peptide team so now that you’ve mentioned it, I can’t wait to try it. As much as I love the Triple Lipid Restore, it comes at an eye watering price at $220 Canadian dollars
