I believe it and not just the vaginal atrophy but also the mood swings, depression, rage and lack of libido.

I'm a man and this needs to be spoken about more on these types of platforms than most of the other crap that's out there... knowledge is power..

I’ve asked two doctors twice about my perimenopause symptoms and I’ve basically been told that I’m fine. Not divorce, but I’m done being patronized by people who are supposed to help me.

My mom committed suicide and I now understand why. She couldn't handle her perimenaupausal symptoms at 43. My menopause has been awful. I always blamed her for leaving us, but now I understand her. This is not a joke. Thanks, Doc, for speaking up. You are a pioneer in this movement 💪🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I got divorced after 20 years of marriage when I was perimenopausal and didn't realize it. I didn't have the issue you're speaking of here, but I kind of lost my mind and didn't understand why. My husband and I got back together in 2020. After I realized that my mental and emotional symptoms were due to menopause, I asked my mom and all of my aunts why no one ever talked about it. It's not something that should be taboo. It's not something women should suffer with in silence. Thank you for talking about it.

Don't forget about the medical professionals that dismiss women when seeking medical help for their conditions; Im speaking of both female and male medical professionals.

Yes! I'm fortunate that my gynecologist is Dr. Diana Bitner who wrote the book "I Want To Age Like That." When sex felt like I was being stabbed she had my hormone levels checked. I was put on low does HRT along with testosterone cream because it was almost non-existent.

Sex felt great again, my mental clarity came back, and the hot flash induced insomnia and migraines left. She saved my life.

I can agree with this. I went to a female gynecologist after not having my period for over a full year and a complete shift in who I was mentally, physically and sexually. She 100% dismissed me and even got angry that I dare question her when I politely insisted on bloodwork to check levels. She refused and even preceded to become frustrated and belittle me when she went to do an exam and couldn’t use even the smallest speculum. I’m so thankful that due to your videos I had the knowledge to not only speak up and put her in her place but to also seek another doctor who listened and even though I was “too young” according to the first dr I was in full blown menopause

As a medical professional, I am so full of love and gratitude for this presentation. Calm, reasonable, factual without shouting, sensationalism or editorializing. This person is Gold.

Am I the only one surprised to see the number of men commenting on this gynecologist's short? I mean, it's awesome, but it's surprising to me. Thanks for caring, guys! ❤

After my cancer diagnosis and a hysterectomy at 40, I no longer see the same person in the mirror. Add on the mood swings and being overly emotional, it has affected our marriage so much. It isn’t talked about enough. Once menopause hits most of us don’t even recognize ourselves. It’s a special kind of hell.

As a man, I can say it's more about what's going on upstairs. They physical aspect is part of it, but the mental aspect is the hardest part. Seeking out misery 24/7 is tiring.

My wife is having those issues currently! We will never get a divorce because our love for each other supercedes any issues we have to overcome! ❤❤❤❤

As a man it saddens me reading the comments to see that so many women seem to be abused, especially mentally and emotionally. I was 53 when I started courting my now wife and she was 38. We are both disabled so physical intimacy has always been difficult for us. In the 10 years we’ve been together we’ve been through some rough times, we’ve both lost our mothers for example. However, we are always there rock solid for each other. My wife is hemiparuplegic and I have a very painful respiratory conditions. So even simple jobs are shared, I cook, wash up and do all the 'two handed jobs' and she vacuums, dusts and does all the jobs that would affect my lungs. Most importantly we share a sense of humour and my wife is the strongest most beautiful human I've ever met. I never take her for granted and I know how very lucky I am, I value her far more than any physical activity, she’s my everything.

My doctor refused any more HRT after I turned 60 and the resulting hot flushes, insomnia and atrophy were life changing and soul destroying. I finally got to see an expert in menopause and she’s agreed I need them. I’m starting to get my life back the difference is astounding. Doctors need more education on this.

My wife definitely had to seek out some products to help ensure we could still enjoy intimacy. It took almost a year to get it sorted. COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!

My wife and I are early 70's. Years ago she confessed our "relationships" were excruciating, like unto being attacked by razor blades down there.
I could not put her through that agony, we stopped by mutual consent and that was 15-20 years ago. I had told my kids, concerning marriage, find someone you can trust whom you are true friends with and then propose, not before you have come to know them.
Do I wish things had turned out like this? Who wouldn't, but it neither turned into divorce nor a loss of love for one another or extramarital relationships for me. Guys can be true to their true friend if they love them, and "I do" says it all.

My ex-wife had this problem.
I talked with her about this, she did not want to treat the condition.
Divorce is a wonderful thing.
