Undertale is a 2015 2D role-playing video game created by American indie developer Toby Fox. Sans (/sænz/) is the brother of Papyrus and a major character in Undertale. He first appears in Snowdin Forest after the protagonist exits the Ruins. He serves as a supporting character in the Neutral and True Pacifist routes, and as the final boss and heroic antagonist in the Genocide Route.

In Dusttale, Murder!Sans was about to kill Papyrus in order to make up for the fact that he couldn't kill Toriel, due to the human getting to her first. However, Papyrus, in self-defense attacks Sans, killing him. After that unexpected event, Papyrus promises to take his revenge and kill the human.

he's way smarter than fanon dust not only that since he use traps at his advantage and his dust sans gosh can "help him" to take decisions or use any idea from him

he have a small kinda of determination which let him talk with the human even on the save point (ofc he isn't as determined as the human) which fanon dust don't have

Canon dust/murder sans doesn’t have any extra abilities like his fanon counterpart( who would still lose btw) witch would’ve been the only way he could win. DB papyrus just has better feats. When he was just at waterfall, he could see and almost touch the players menu. He even had enough determination to appear in their save screen. He one shotted both sans and undyne and instantly killed the human the moment they met. So in o5er words

Iq and skill goes to Sans.

Sans actually remembers timelines, and with the hundreds of times he’s fought the human, he’s probably a lot more skilled at fighting than his old self.
Where as Papyrus only has 1 timeline’s worth of experience, meaning he only has his royal guard training and his 1 geno run for experience.

Sans is already smart, but when he remembered the timelines, he had to be smarter to “beat” the human. In canon Dusttale, he’s locked in a stalemate with the Human, changing his attack patterns every time the Human comes back, meaning he has to come up with a new attack every time he fights (if he uses an attack he already used before, the Human has a higher chance of dodging it), and you need to be smart and creative for coming up with new attacks that should be difficult on their own.
Papyrus wasn’t really known for being smart, but he certainly wasn’t an idiot, he had to be smart and witty enough to create his puzzles. And Papyrus doing the geno run didn’t wouldn’t help him become smarter, since this would technically his first and only chance to do the geno run himself (Sans won’t let himself get killed by Papyrus in the next timeline).

But i still agree that Papyrus would probably beat sans here.
