Hi! My name is Leonie and I am a 25 year old girl who loves talking about books! From YA to non-fiction to classics, I read it all (although fantasy will always be my fave). I live in the Netherlands and go to university, but make booktube videos in my spare time :)

27 years old is still so, so young! Toni Morrison debuted at 39, Mark Twain at 41, Annie Proulx at 57... the list goes on. Today's world convincing us that people peak in their 20's is such a sham. Especially in the field of writing, which is such a slow, longterm activity and/or process - on so many levels. Point is: you're doing great!

As a writer who likes to look at maps for spot on locations, its actually insane how close the Netherlands is to EVERYTHING in Europe.

That about Van Gogh not finding his calling for art until 27 really hit me, too, as I'm literally 21 trying to figure it all out with zero clue 😅. I have qualities and talents but sometimes struggle to find how I can bring meaning to them

The train not stopping for Britt and sab was hilarious and the food looked so good. The Van Gogh thing didn’t surprise me since I knew he started his art journey late but it’s a good to remember that fact every once and awhile because to me it tells me that it’s never too late to start a career and that it’s ok to not have everything figured out before the age of 20.

Just wanna say that thanks to stumbling upon your videos I actually got the desire to get back into reading books properly. I even renewed my library card a week or so ago, and have made it a goal to try and read at least 20 different books this year.

My grandparents were from The Netherlands, and they ended up bringing my family to the US, and there's something so great about the fact that I can see this and be like, wow I could've lived there. (I'm quite jealous, actually). There's something about the atmostphere... There's so much history and beautiful architecture, and so many lives have been lived there. I'm so glad that I could see this video! Thanks!

I'm 35, and the only accomplishments I have are attaining a Master's degree that I"ve never used outside of writing blogs related to the subject and writing some fanfics that I think still hold up even a decade and change later in some cases. So yeah, don't rush yourself, Leonie. You have an entire lifetime to do all the things you want to do, whatever that may be.

The singing postman kinda just made my day, like this is so wholesome....✨😅
Also, I like how your book hauls are not like "I bought 100 books", but that you are really taking your time to consider what books you really want to read.

The Netherlands is one of the countries that I've always wanted to visit! Thank you for showing us a bit of Amsterdam. I will live vicariously through videos like this until I get a chance to visit for myself!

The Cat Who Saved Books is such a beautiful book. It's the perfect book for booklovers and there is a talking cat. It was my favorite book last year and I gave it to everyone for christmas. I also highly recommend the audiobook. The narrator is so good.
