Very nice video. Is it true that auto-defrost freezer is not ideal for food storage? Because if your goal is to keep the food frozen below zero degrees, then it is not ideal to have the freezer constantly defrosting itself, right?

Is there a term for a chess freezer that has the plastic lining one piece construction vs aluminum lining or "non" one piece construction interior? when shopping and not coming to the store or a lack of information or photographs online, I am curious how to identify the difference or if there is a specific term or keyword to search for. Let me tell you my own opinion why I do prefer upright frost freezer instead the chest

I got rid with no regrets at all of my chest frezeer having problems 25 years ago for a Liebherr (quality German Brand) upright 7 drawer frost freezer and in all these years I had ZERO PROBLEMS...and enjoyed the drawers easy and perfect organization that you can get .... do Just normal maintenance with manual defrost when ice build up half /one inch once 6/12 months and it will last trouble free at least 30

The upright frost free freezer have a much more complicated defrost sistem with sensors/heater ant timers that can have problems after 4/6 years.. and the electricity bills are higher...).


My only suggestion is to have 2/3 freezer themometers (one on the top drawer, one in the middle and one in the bottom drawer), so you can set the termostat on the top of the freeze (1 to 7) at the correct temperature required .... One final consideration about the upright frost freezers...

THE ONES in the market WITHOUT DRAWERS in 2024 ARE A NON SENSE and should be banned from the market A LOT OF ENERGY WAISTED EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE DOOR !!
