Honestly i think the interaction between fumiko and denji felt really comforting, if she really saw denji in his house that means she know he is depressed, so if she happens to have a contract with the blood devil, i will shoot my balls

I feel like part 2 will essentially be Denji finding value in himself, rather than in being Chainsaw man. In part 1, Denji relied on Chainsaw man's power in order to make it through, and thus embraced being Chainsaw man. But at the end of part 1 it was Denji, not Chainsaw man that defeated Makima. I feel in part 2 Denji's arc is finding value in himself outside of being Chainsaw man, and that being Denji is just as great.

I think the whole of part 2 is leading up to Denji finally becoming independent from everything and making his own choices. His whole life he was conditioned to following the orders of people around him. I think with the build up of Fami and the chainsaw man church as well as public safety, denji is inevitably going to have to make a choice. However i think in this moment along with the stress that has built up in him, he will finally have enough and decide to go on his own path.

This was an amazing chapter! I did not expect that deep and what appears to be genuine moment between Fumiko and Denji. The way she talked about the Gun Fiend incident honestly gave me chills, because to me it was by far the most tragic moment in part 1. Best part of the conversation was when she said she saw him cry at the end of that fight and realised that Chainsaw Man was just a fragile kid.

One thing I noticed was the fact that what is about to happen is a repeat of the Gun Fiend fight, mirroring the idea behind Denji having to take down Aki. Both then and now, the idea is that Denji does not want to fight, but he has to, and that in both situations people ask "him" to save them.

Back then he had to take down his own friend, and now, if he decides to save those people, a lot of them being children, then there's the real risk of losing Nayuta, just like he lost Aki.
This whole situation is a huge moment for Denji. Ever since the beginning of part 2, I had the feeling Denji would truly meet his death by the end of it. However, I'm inclined to say that he will survive this arc aswell.

I also love how unsettling and sinister Barem is as a character. We haven't had a character like him since part 1. Like yes, Yoshida and Fami are great, but Barem's lines and expressions just hit different. He adds a lot of spice to the story.

Fumiko and Barem in this chapter are literally exemplifying the two types of CSM fans, which is people who are invested in Denji as a character and his growth throughout the story against people who only wants to see the crazy batshit fights like Part 1 used to. Fujimoto knows his readers so well that makes him put us in his writing as a mockery, lol. This is one of the reasons Fujimoto released a one-shot called "Just Listen to the Song" before Part 2 back then, to remind us to just enjoy the ride and be patient for the glorious days in Part 1 returns again. As always, let him cook!

There's a twitter post I saw earlier today that rly showed Fumiko's intentions. Making Denji uncomfortable, violating him (sexually), humiliating him (by sitting on him and making him suck the devil) and now all of a sudden she says she understands him. It's like she's trying to build something up just to tear it down like how he tore her family apart. The post said it all seems like, and I quote, "pure resentment"...

What struck me the most about Fumiko in this chapter is how adult she felt, specially compared with her introduction. With that I feel like even though she’s playful, it’s just a front. So even if the way she treats Denji is weird, she has her reasons for doing it even if it’s not perfect.
Reminds me of Misato from Evangelion.

I really enjoyed the insight into Mifune’s character in this chapter, she’s more than just a weird 22 year old touching a 17 year-old’s wiener, she had a life that was destroyed by the world of devils, specifically the gun fiend, and her mindset towards Denji is interesting.

This is by far my favorite Chapter from Part 2, it's right up there with CH 116, (when they're stuck in the aquarium, and Denji gives Asa food.)

I love the point in stories where everything feels like it slows down and get's more personal. The converstation leading to her saying she's a Denji Fan and not a chainsaw man fan, it sounds so simple but it was really nice. I started to realize that I like her character, and am scared that if that was just her genuine feelings that she is up next on the chopping block, or the idea that she is planning to try and remove pochita like you said could be her motive.

I feel like this Part of chainsaw man is Fujimoto literally telling us that he (Denji) is split from making a story about the more emotional tender moments with denji (denji fans) or the gore crazy action moments (Chainsaw Man church). Like this is just the struggle he as the creator is going through because S2 is so different from S1 and he knows the fanbase is split on what direction to go forward. Denji (Fugimoto) knows he can't have both....

Denji turns into Black Chainsaw Man. Aka Pochita takes over. He kills the Demons and what Pochita always asked back? A hug, or at least something Denji wants. However, everytime he hugs someone they die, by accident.
What if he asks for a hug, needing to conclude his contract and allow Denji to return, and Fumiko, knowing the danger, still gives him one.
She dies. Denji returns. He is hugging her corpse.
