My dog is 1 year old. He is already toilet trained in the balcony, but sometimes he pee on the floor if he is moving freely in the house. What is the solution for this.?

Is it possible to train a 1 year old dog? If so then do we need to follow some special steps as you said it's really difficult to toilet train your dog after a certain age.
My dog drags and pulls me around the entire neighborhood for around like 30-40 mins to poop and sometimes he just marks his territory all over the neighborhood by peeing and doesn't even poo.
It's really difficult sometimes as when we are busy or not at home for few hours.
And if we don't take him out then he will hold it and not poop.
Peeing is not a biggie but for him to dump his 💩 .... We sweat!!
