Longevity Test - Coated D'Addario XT - New favourite strings?

Longevity test on the new XT coated strings from D'Addario - looking at the (very minimal!) difference in sound between the strings freshly installed, compared to 4 weeks later, with regular heavy playing in between.

The audio was captured using two AKG P170 condenser mics with a Focusrite Scarlett interface.

I tried a set and they sounded dull to me within 2 weeks. On the other hand, the classical xt strings are probably my favorite nylon strings. Maybe the phospher strings I got were defective? Thanks for the video, I'm going to give them another try once it's time to change the elixirs.

I Got One Set Of Phosphor Bronze XT.. then after an hour I noticed the strings are discolored.. there are some rust.. im acidic but... mybe its fake with a right code. i dont know why sofast it become rusty.. im sweaty but.. the string seems like not coated..

I got a pair and they sounded "springy" to me, and almost tinny. They have a steel core. Thought maybe that as why.
