D'addario's Brand New XT Strings! | Are They Anything Special?

At Summer NAMM D'addario released yet another brand new line of guitar strings. These strings are called the "XT" line. They are standard D'addario NY strings, with a coating to help them last much longer. Check out how they sound in this video! Let me know what you think down below.

I have a pair of regular XLs on one of my guitars that are now 1 year, 6 months old. That said, I was stringing my new Tele style guitar the other day with a brand new set and the high E snapped at D# before I ever got to use them, and that happens pretty frequently. I'll be switching back to GHS (after 20 years) and hope I have better luck.

Been using D’addario strings forever and I still don’t know how to say it or spell it half the time...BUT the NYXL’s are the BEST string I have ever tried especially for the Floyd...stretch them a little and BAM....right in tune...expensive but awesome strings!!!

If you go to the website, you can see the string is made from NY Steel, the same as the NYXL. And you can see the hex in the section about NY Steel.

Tried the Hybrid 9-46 set on my Les Paul. They feel and sound incredible!! Rock on✌

These strings are VERY bright and seem to have less tension than the regulars. I had to adjust my amp and tuned my guitar back to standard from 1/2 step down to accommodate. Maybe I got a weird set.

I love elixir. True story on 6 months. I only had to replace the hi E at 6 months. The rest of the strings are still on to the guitar

Also, yeah, please buy them, so they will also produce 9-40 (natural balanced, great for blues imho) and 12-54 (for standard C tuning)....

Great feel great sound lasted 2 weeks then went black and never stayed in tune.
