I believe more than ever right now I'm in my season of marriage. I've been talking to different people and I'll be honest they weren't living purely and accordingly to what I've know as a man after God's heart and I'll admit I compromised my values along the way however the relationships left me empty still searching. Then 1 year ago I relocated and decided to seek myself. And I've been praying and seeking God intentionally. Thr Holy Spirit has given me discernments and the people I thought were the ones God still exposed them even when I asked for a sign. Thank you for this message! I've been struggling with the idea of marriage even though I'm preparing for it but it seem so far reached and I will be turning 40 this year. Sometimes the longer I wait, the more I feel that I may never be married but now my faith is reignited again and GOD can do the impossible. I have peace in my singleness and I'm not going to lose my faith in the desire for marriage because it is a strong desire of mine.

I've always had a feeling, that somewhere out there is the person God has planned for me. Though I am single and working with my pastor to build up his church, so that one day I can do what my father did and start a children's ministry.. that that someone is taking the same journey as I am, so that God will bring me and that person together, and take that journey together, working in God's goodness hand in hand.

Mark I want to personally thank you for your last video about what men want in a woman. I grew up in a secular household with a violent schizophrenic/alcoholic father, who has now passed away.

Also my brother was, and sadly still is aggressive and verbally abuses me (therefore sadly I cannot have a relationship with him).

As I have never seen a healthy example of male behaviour, that free class has helped me so much God bless you. I can also see that the Lord has been working on me to make me more into a Godly woman as I ask for guidance and correction.

I've wanted to be married a long, long time. But, i used to feel that if i get married i would be happy. After seeing so many couples with different problems and so many issues, now i am content being single. Took awhile, but now i see marriage as a great addition if God blesses me with that, but not the main point of happiness. God is our source, not another flawed imperfect human as we all are. Society subtily suggests if you're not married then you have problems, you're a misfit, or an oddball. I say your time hasn't come yet. So i say, if God wants me to be married it will happen, and if he doesn't want me to be married it won't happen. I'll just trust his judgment and stick with Matthew 6:33.

Thank you for breaking this down and backing it up with scripture because a lot of teachings on Christian singleness and marriage can be confusing and even discouraging 😞 but this made more sense.

That part about marriage pointing out your personal problems that need to be worked on is often overlooked. Like anything else it's a responsibility. People that got married very young will attest to that. Married or not you're always going to need sharpening in some way so you better do the hard stuff now lol
