I love how this party scene contrasts with the opening party scene in the first Godfather movie.

I always liked how brief the Communion scene is, and how abruptly it cuts to this party scene. It helps drive home the point that this day isn't really about Anthony. The true purpose of all this pomp and circumstance is to prop up Michael's image as a loving patriarch and humanitarian, so that Senator Geary will help him push through his casino deal.

Senator Geary calls Michael's son Vito ( sort of anglosized)...when they meet privatley he pronouces it very ethnically. Sort of saying he's involved some Senator Geary asks them to stand up. Probably have the soon-to-be assassins aquainted physically with there subject target...feedback please

1:00 Godfathers wife played by Morgana King, she was born in 1930 (and died 2018 I read). She is 43 here. Does she not look like very old for a 43 year old woman???

I had no idea of who Troy Donahue was back in the day when I was a kid and then My Father told me how his Character Frankie beat up his Girlfriend Sarah Jane in Imitation Of Life. His name was also mentioned in Look At Me I`m Sandra Dee in Grease. Sadly enough when Stockard Channing sang "Elvis Elvis Let Me Be, Keep That Pelvis Far From Me!" it was on the day Elvis died August 16th. Co-incidentally Elvis sang his version of If You Love Me Let Me Know. Now Olivia is dead as well.
