They tarp off the area so you won't see the disaster while buying your new Tesla. LOL

This happens more often than people think. The dealership will not discuss it to anyone.

Wow, lucky for the car owner it was in for service. Otherwise it would have been in their garage and they’d have a much bigger problem than being out a car.

Those unextinguishable fire bombs have some serious military value.

Soon EV companies are gonna start saying "please drive responsibly."

At least with the Pinto you had to get rear-ended

It always makes me tear up a little when they bring out the blue tarps to cover the death of another Tesla. I can’t believe the dealership had no comment over a death. Right in their parking lot!!

This seems to be more of a problem than Tesla is willing to admit. I recently pulled into a parking lot and parked next to a Tesla and after thinking about it, I moved my car to another location. A woman saw what I'd done and asked me why? I said, I feel these cars are unsafe and a potential menace. She said she owned the Tesla and didn't like what I'd done, that it sent a bad 'vibe' about her car and others like it. I merely said to her that she--like me, was entitled to her opinion.

This whole green thing is an IQ test if you bought into it you didn’t pass. Physics always wins.

The young lady commenting has a good point, how does a car that is parked and idle blow up?

Why are they allowed in coastal states?🤡 The floods you had were full of salt water. Salt water does not mix well with the overpriced road-ready golf carts lithium batteries. Those are not cars.🤡👎

If Tesla was owed by Ford or GM there would be a total recall on all of them. This is a huge safety issue

I wonder if all that smoke and pollution is taken into account when people say EVs are "environmentally friendlier" than normal cars.

These are the type of cars they want us to drive, folks.

Where did all the water go that was used to put the fire out? It will now be toxic and harmful to the environment as a whole.☹

The irony; *An electric vehicle setting itself on fire at a dealership which ONLY sells & specializes in that brand* . Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence for potential customers visiting that dealership the next morning or boost morale of employees who have to repair and sell those vehicles with *the elephant in the room* sitting in the front of the business waiting to be hopefully, safely towed away.😂

I'm guessing it's one of those flooded ☔ cars from a month ago when they got 2ft of rain. Flooded EV's are always a 🔥 risk

The problem is not the fire it self but the inability to stop the fire .. Gas cars you remove the heat, air or gas and it is out. Ev with Li Ion can ignite and reignite for days until the entire battery is safe to be disassembled / recycled How do you perform this on the new Tesla Y structural 4680 battery?

If these were aircraft they would be grounded indefinitely.
