Dive into the world of 3D fluid simulations with our comprehensive tutorial video on the FLIP Fluids Addon, now updated for Blender 3.6+ and FLIP Fluids 1.7.0+. This guide is mainly designed for newcomers, providing a clear and accessible entry point to this exciting field. However, existing users may also find a few valuable tips along the way.

In this video, we focus exclusively on the installation and operation of the FLIP Fluids Addon, bypassing general Blender operations to deliver concise, targeted content. You'll learn about:

• Installing the FLIP Fluids Addon 1.7.x in Blender 3.6x
• Navigating the Addon's interface
• Understanding the basics and key settings of FLIP Fluids

Happy to hear more tutorials are being made. Practical use case examples of how it can be used in scenes always gets me thinking of new ideas.

I need help.

At 17:59 you mention a toggle to hide or un-hide particles in viewport display, but I cannot find this toggle in version 1.8.
All the whitewater simulation simply doesn't show in viewport or render and i can't find a solution to this in the documentation either since it appears outdated? Any help would be appreciated!

Both render display mode and viewport display mode in whitewater setting is set to 'final'. Display amount doesn't change anything either.

EDIT: I think I worked it out. Still not visible in viewport, but my render settings need to be in cycles for it to work. EEVEE simply doesn't catch whitewater as far as I can tell

It should be clarified that the emission of fluid from the Sphere can be stopped at any time and the animation continues until the end but without generating more particles. How to close the tap for example👌👏🙋🏻‍♂️

Very helpful. I'm currently baking using the cmd line. I did not choose render after bake. Once baking is finished, what would be my next step in rendering. Is there a way to preview my current bake?

I need a method to simulate rising oil bubbles in water. Is it possible to simulate two different fluids, such as oil and water, together?

Any idea how I might create a realistic looking siphon effect? I'm stuck having to import .x3d mesh files from CFD programs like paraview at the moment.

im probably dumb but how can we melt objects? how can i make my object dissolve at the same time as its melting? i get the inflow and viscosity but how can i make the object dissolve at the same time?

Downloaded the demo to try this out, looks really cool! 2 things I was wondering and maybe you can help me:)
1: Is it possible to mix/blend the simulated animation (for example a boat driving in an ocean) with another mesh that's lower res but maybe has an ocean shader or even the ocean modifier connected for making larger scale scenes?
2: Can you use the generated particles for something other than water? i.e attach other objects/meshes to the particles maybe via geometry nodes or something? I've seen some very cool and abstract stuff where people use the particles generated from a simulation (water, grain etc.) and attach like a set of flowers and have them act out the water animation. Looks really cool and weird. :D

Is there any way to use FLIP Fluids to melt an object and have it flow like a liquid?

Does CMD baking and rendering work with GNU/Linux? If no, make it work now. It is very easy, just the simplest bash scripting.(It can be easier than Windows)

How did you get into the downloads list? This is my only problem, what did I press to make it appear?

Hello! So I'm using Octane Blender, and I was just wondering if the WhiteWater particle materials would also work with the Universal Material that octane uses.

I want to just pour juice into a glass for a short video is this possible or does it take a day working time.

I have no idea what can be wrong. After 5-10 frames of simulation blender 3.6 allways crashing (no matter of resolution). I have RLY strong PC. Few months ago i dont have any Problems with FLIP FLUIDS, now something is bad. Any ideas RL GUY please?

My whitewater particles disappear when I increase the simulation resolution to 256. Any solution?

This plugin only seems to work with new fresh scenes, any time I try to add flip in my scenes it doesn't simulate it calculates like there's nothing there.
What is wrong here.
