Green Lantern Pitch Meeting

Long before Ryan Reynolds squeezed into the red spandex to play Wade Wilson in Deadpool and Deadpool 2 he starred in 2011’s Green Lantern… which bombed pretty hard. The movie was supposed to be the start of a DC film universe in order to compete with Marvel, but it fell on its face and Warner Bros tried again a few years later with Man of Steel. So what went wrong with Green Lantern? Why did the movie with the talent of Ryan Reynolds, Taika Waititi, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Tim Robbins and more get so panned by critics and fans? I swear Mr. George Ryan, however much he's being paid now, deserves a raise. He has single handedly saved this channel and probably generates over half of all there views. Atleast on rewatches alone. I've seen every pitch meeting, and I still can't pass it up when scrolling. They never get old, and as we all know, rewatching pitch meetings is TIGHT!!!
