James Gunn and Guardians of the Galaxy might be in the headlines these days for very different reasons, but just a few years ago they were introduced to the world and helped turn Chris Pratt into a global phenomenon. People instantly fell in love with Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord as well as Gamora, Drax, Rocket and of course Groot. Although we all know and love these Marvel characters now, can you imagine how weird it must have been to actually pitch the first movie? A talking tree that just says his own name? I love seeing Chris Pratt's transformation on Parks and Rec when he was getting in shape for Guardians of the Galaxy. Had the chunky, lovable Andy start slimming down for his new roles and him skyrocketing into fame. I just honestly love Chris Pratt's story more than anything, went from being what should've been a side character for a few episodes to being so well received he was on for the entire series and then onto the largest blockbuster films in history and married Arnold Schwarzenegger's daughter. All that from a man who lived in a van
