Interior Door MAKEOVER ✅ Make Your CHEAP HOLLOW CORE Doors Look EXPENSIVE 💲 DIY Tutorial #budget

I had 15 old, ugly, flat panel, hollow core interior doors which needed a door makeover. Transform your house and make them look like modern, expensive five-panel doors without the cost of buying new doors for the whole house - alternative approach to adding interior DIY door trim or moulding to the hollow core / flat panel door surface by routing grooves and painting interior doors. I'll walk through through the interior door makeover process from start to finish. No net-new materials are necessary outside of paint (unless you buy new hardware).

Tools used: Sander, router, drill, hammer, chisel, paint rollers/brushes, caulk gun, books...

Steps: Remove hardware, sand, route, sand, prime, choose awful paint colors, choose better paint colors, paint top coat, hang, touch up, caulk, add door knobs/hardware, enjoy.

Keep posting! It’s called a door strike plate. When you get around to upgrading the front door you’ll probably have a deadbolt strike plate as well as a door strike plate.

One thing to remember is when you sand sand with the grain and always end your sanding with a fine grit.

i have never seen "this " technique before.. looks like its super clean can cool.. but.. with your lighting...its very hard to "see" just how good they look i think..
can you maybe post some pics or maybe add a vid that shows off your hard work a bit more?
