This is a good deal Ryan. I am glad you posted this because I can imagine the frustration of people who are having to buy remote after remote only for them to not work, that would suck. This method is similar to resetting the PCM or ECM on a car where you unhook from a dedicated power source and turn the key over to let the boards run down power and reset.

😮 OMG, thank you so much. I just bought the tcl google tv yesterday. Got it all ready and placed it on the tv stand, plugged the tv in. Then I put the batteries in the remote and got nothing. It worked thanks😊. Nearby distance the remote works fine. When I try to operate it from the couch it wasn't working but months back it was the same distance and worked. Now I pressed the power button for 15 Sec, It works fine.

this worked. We have now the new replaced tv and it only came with 1 remote. and our old tv's 2nd remote is left behind and it worked. Good job. Note: new tv is TCL beyondTV2.
