TCL Roku TV: How to Factory Reset without Remote

I show you how to factory reset a TCL Roku TV without the remote. We will be using the button on the TV itself. Hope this helps.

Good vid, our TCL would not come back on after power outage, not even two years old, almost threw it in the dumpster but found this reset switch, I bet a lot end up in the trash anyway, I held that button in for well over a minute and it went into reset mode, yada yada Roku wants all your info and a credit card, I enter it to get by this section, after I went back to my Roku account and removed it, but thats just me

I did this, without the ability to use the remote. IR sensor in tv appears to be dead as the remote is fine and got stuck on choose language screen. I racked my brain over how to get past this screen for days, even TCL support told me to buy a new tv, until I finally figured out how to. You'll have to connect the tv to your modem with a Ethernet cable to give it internet. Once you do that you will be able to use the roku tv app on your phone as a remote. Once you've done that you can then connect it to wifi and put it back.
