Most of the issues are just rich vs poor, although racism in the jim crow era did play a part in instilling generational poverty so it’s related, but not all of it

The color of the skin isn't the issue. I'm white and I can recognize that generations of redlining and such has held minority communities back by forcing them into low income housing and such. However minority kids who grew up in a normal suburban neighborhood have all grown up the same as white suburban kids, there is no difference.

There are 2 ways I think about this.

1. I came from nothing and had to work my way up to be somewhat well off. I never got anything handed to me.

2. I do believe it still exists to have a white privilege in some instances, John Doe is much more likely to land a high corporate job than Jamal would. And that is just plain wrong and needs to change.
