I love how cap is nervous and even a little afraid, but is trying his best not to show it. This is what I love about the MCU. The character’s behaviour looks very natural.

In contrast, if it were dom and his family, they’d be sitting, chilling with their mean faces. As if going to space is just another evening.

Love it for all the reasons people have pointed out. But also because in Avengers Steve was pretty surprised by the helicarrier and the idea of there being aliens. Going to space is definitely something he never imagined.

This also doesn't really come into play in the movie but in the comics, specifically the Brubaker run, Steve mentions that if he never became Captain America that he would've liked to have become an astronaut.

I love how the guy is tripping balls, imagine that the best special effect that you have ever seen in your life it's like, I don't know, fucking first King Kong movie, and then, a couple of years later (from Captain's point of view) you are traveling throughout the space, jumping at speed of light. Great scene.

His eyes are tense when they make the jump, but as the colors and contours of space warp and flow around him, his eyes relax, they open wider, they recognize the beauty in the chaos. They drink it in.
