I like this scene so much and it’s creative too. Cap being hydra means that they can talk to the 2012 cap about their plans and he can stop them early on

Scenes like this one and where he fights himself were great for Cap's character. His character arc is more subtle than that of the other main Avengers, but it's definitely there. He goes from being dogmatic to being much more pragmatic. But he never loses high-minded idealism and faith in human goodness.
