Steve going to Peggy in 1949 would create a branch timeline if he decides to make some changes in that timeline's history, and then the TVA would prune him, they don't tolerate anything. But if he becomes the stay-at-home-dad and not change anything, the timeline would have been fine, no branches, and it's a loop. Loops don't make branches. Like Bruce said, traveling to the past would make that past your future, your world to live in, and if you keep quiet, if you let events unfold the way it did in your previous timeline, if the younger you walked through the same path you took to the point when you traveled back, you can show yourself as an old man and there are no branches. That's a loop by Steve. Another perspective is that another variant of Steve came to our reality to be with Peggy, and our Steve went to another reality to be with that reality's Peggy, hence what Steve is doing is a loop, he and his variants keep doing it over and over

Cuz who the hell say they're gonna missed you if technically he should be back the exact moment he left. It doesn't make sense unless Buck knew it'd stayed in the past leaving the future without Captain America anymore. That's why Cap said it's gonna be ok. He's saying it's gonna be ok even without him.

It's too bad that they couldn't use the stones to bring back Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow and Toney Stark / Iron Man; in addition, bring back the infinity stones from their time. It would seem impossible to return the Soul Stone.
