Watching the various movement patters while you said humans are designed for crawling made me think of nearly anything but primate movements. But it also reminded me of something my embryology professor said, “ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny”. Fancy way to say we all look like our evolutionary background at some point. So when do I flop on my belly like a fish? 😂

What is the name of the crawl where you are moving forward putting your fist in the ground? Looks like an ape almost? I had a hip replacement and can do this move going forward but find that backwards is harder. Would like to be able to work on that. But need to know the name of the movement so that I can google it. TIA

Äh come on! „Lost Art, fundamental movement „? Creeping (crawling) is done by half a billion babies every day, It is just redundant to adults because it is an inefficient way to move . And it is also not „fundamental to development „ because many children totally skip doing it altogether. Some just go directly to grabbing something stable and dragging themselves to their feet.
