Immediately after this scene....the original egg "owner" aporoaches the "father" and says she would be happy to let him be part of the child's life. He literally tells her to f*ck off. Its almost funny.

As long as he's not legally on the hook for any child support it's fine. Hell make them sign a legal agreement for him to legally abandon any parental rights and he doesn't have any obligation to child support. Just to make sure. With that it'll be fine.

Why is everyone in the comments focused on child support? This man bought an egg illegally and then when he couldn’t keep it he tried to have it destroyed despite the fact that it never belonged to him and was acquired illegally. It was her child by right and he had no legal claim over it. Why the sudden pivot to child support when there was no mention of that throughout the case?

The guy isn't having a baby. He fertilized an egg, that's it. He doesn't have to be in the kids life. It's selfish that they want to rob this woman of her last chance to have a biological child because they regret their own bad/careless action (illegally obtaining her frozen eggs that she SPECIFICALLY froze knowing she'd likely become infertile due to illness).

If we're going to nitpick, there's no such thing as "British law". England+Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have separate judicial systems.
