I’ve had a lotta dogs and a few years back I got an American Doberman and he’s by far the smartest dog I’ve ever had. He looks me straight in the eye every time I speak and he learns stuff so ridiculously fast. He just immediately learns things from watching once. It’s often unbelievable to me. I call him my monkey. And obviously he’s ridiculously gorgeous.

We got an Australia Cattle Dog, he is SO super smart, almost out smart us lol He is potty trained in 3 days (using the bell), learned a new trick in less than 5 repetitions. He have NEVER barked. Ultra quiet and very velcro. BUT, I will not recommend this breed if you live in a small apartment, if you do not have an active lifestyle, if you do not have the patient to train them, and cannot tolerate their nature of "mouthing" especially when they are puppies. They are literally a ball of energy. They can hike and run for the entire day. They need attention and huge amount of exercise. BEST BREED EVER TO US. :D

I had a Shetland Sheep dog when I was a kid. That dog had guts as well as brains but thought she was MUCH larger than she was. I saw her put the run on black bears and the neighbour’s Great Dane.
